Okay, so I'm listening to "Duran Duran" (yes, the FIRST album) in the car this morning and I'm listening to "Nightboat" and thinking back to the Atlanta show where I heard "The Chauffeur" live for the first time. I literally got goosebumps and then more goosebumps because I realized I will see them again (all 5 this time demmit) NEXT FREAKIN' MONTH! I'm very excited, to say the least. It's nice that I can still get so happy about such things. And it's nice that there's something that always manages to put a smile on my face, regardless of how sad I might be feeling.

And that, my friends, is why Duran Duran is my favorite band and have always been. My teenage years were rough after my father died... but those guys... their music... took me away.

And anyone who makes fun of them or me can kiss my ass because that's a special thing.

Anyway, on to other music that inspires me... gavinstripped.com is done, well, design-wise. The domain is up (nothing there yet) and all I have to do is figure out how to go from design stage to code stage (it's a tricky one - the lay-out is very non-boxes). Lots of CSS and a little bit of Flash should do the trick.

And... I'm still in the market for a set of keyboards, I've managed to somehow squeeze in a few more songs that I've written, and I wonder if I'm just going to explode from all this creative energy. I've always been like this, but damn, lately, I want to do EVERYTHING and I want to do it NOW. I just need to create, create, create. I... can't... stop.

Anyway, I'm off to go order one of those special DuranDuranFans.com shirts I made for my site to wear to the Jacksonville show, and I need to start organizing the meet-up, too. I got our hotel booked (The Adam's Mark, with a river view, I might add *G*), too.
