To quote Joey DeGraw....

Okay, my .02 on RP chat drama - this is a game. Something we do for fun. Yes, we are in a cyber social setting, but at the same time, if you're online and in a RP room and are miserable, it's easy. Don't play the game. Turn the computer off and go somewhere or do something.

And that is all I have to say about that. Stop bitching and whining about each other already. Everyone gets so damn PETTY sometimes (myself included). So take a deep breath, relax and let go...

And that's all I have to say about that.

--------

I had a bizarre dream last night where I was in a band (the one I keep thinking I'm going to form as soon as I find the appropriate musicians) and we were talking shit to Gavin DeGraw about how good we are. And telling him to come see us play because it would give him a chance to get away from the teeny boppers. And he kept asking "What do you want from me? Because everyone wants SOMETHING. So what gives?" And I was like "Fuck you, buddy... I'm trying to help you out."

I don't know, but it did remind me of something in my early 20's when I was pursuing music heavily.

--------

I watched "Fat Actress" last night and even against my better judgement, I laughed my ass off. Kirstie Alley is a brave soul. I also watched "Calendar Girls" and they, too, were very brave souls. I was entertained most of the evening, and I wasn't even on the comp RPing or playing Sims 2.
from_ashes: (Something more than dreams)
I've got Joey DeGraw songs stuck in my head...

Anyway, for all intents and purposes, people seem to have settled down from the drama (and I can say this - it wasn't any of my doing, nor was it in my room! *L*), so yaye. Seems to happen in cycles, everything RP-room related. I'm learning to calm down and take things as they come.

So there...

So I joined up as an independent rep for that production company and got an e-mail today about selling merchandise for a show. Unfortunately, the Atlanta show already had people to handle things, so nothing new to report there. I'm hoping they have some artists at Music Midtown or something, so that I can maybe work there part of that weekend. I mean, I wouldn't be doing it for the free tix (which you get... heh) because I'm willing to pay the $40 for two days worth of shows, including The Killers. That's a STEAL! *L*

Anyway, I know I've been good and stayed away from posting about politics (although I'm still politically active), but I'm not too impressed with this shit about changing bankruptcy laws. It's like they think people use the bankruptcy laws to skirt the system, but everyone I've known that's ever filed bankruptcy did it because they had no other choice. Anyway, the new laws would favor the credit card companies (who should all be shut down anyway) and the big corporations. I'm not happy with that. If the credit card companies would grow some freakin' balls and be responsible, people wouldn't have to file bankruptcy. And that is me speaking from experience. Credit card companies are evil and should all go to hell.

I'm going to go plug into Franz Ferdinand now because someone over at DDF was a doll and not only sent me a t-shirt she had made, but a copy of that CD. And my tour book is on its way! Yeah! I owe Nasty a huge thank you for getting that for me (check is in the mail, btw) because I was too lazy to stand in line in Jax to get it myself *L*
