Allergy and Golf Season Day Two
Apr. 5th, 2005 09:25 amI'm having trouble sleeping now and I don't know if it's the time change still messing with my head or allergies, or some combination of both. But I am SLEEPY. Which means I'll probably be making a mid-afternoon coffee run today.
LIZ! I am so sorry about yesterday. I got pulled into a meeting which ended up resulting in extra work and I couldn't get back into Hawthorne. I was hoping for a quiet week, but so far... it has been far from quiet. Mainly because of this one stupid golf-related site that I happen to be in charge of.
I hate golf, have I mentioned that yet? Thank God I don't live anywhere near Washington Road nor have to go down that way at any point this week. That's all I'm screaming.
We watched an HBO Sports special last night about the Curse of the Bambino. It really focused on Red Sox fans and it was awesome. I was SO relating to much of it and yes, I got a little teary-eyed when they showed last year's World Series win. I still remember being at home, watching it, on my knees in front of the t.v., that prayer pose that us Sox fans are so familiar with and holding my breath right before I realized that we'd won and tears began to stream down my face.
Yes, folks, it meant that much. And I only spent about 6 years in Boston. But that fever... it's contagious *L* (And yes, I know the Yankees beat the Sox a few days ago... kiss my arse *L*).
I believe Will and I have decided to go ahead and spend the whole Music Midtown weekend in Atlanta. We got a great deal on the hotel and we figure since it has a kitchen, we could save a ton of money on food by cooking our own. So I think I'll take the Friday of that weekend off, as well as the following Monday (recovery time... heh). I can't wait to see what other acts they announce. It just keeps getting better and better. And we already have tickets! Yeah! Now I have to figure out the camera policy. One place on their site says small cameras are fine, another says only disposable cameras can be brought in (at which case, I'll get a disposable digital).
